Career

Yungeen Ace had a difficult childhood he is 1 of 12 brothers[5], even so he experienced a very solitary upbringing and turned to music and street life in his teenage years. He acquired he name after the character ace from the 2002 popular film Paid In Full.[6] His career began in March of 2018, when he wrote and recorded solo tracks, releasing his debut single, “No Witness.” There were several other singles, but those bright beginning were darkened by Yungeen Ace and several friends in Jacksonville when they left dinner in June, 5th of 2018 during a sudden drive-by shooting.[7] That left the rapper suffering from multiple gun shot wounds and the lost of his blood brother Trevon Bullard as well as two of his closest friend Royale Smith, Jr. and Jercoby Groover. Immediately after the shooting, legal troubles put the rapper under house arrest. He continued to make new songs including the standout track "Wanted" featured a cameo from YoungBoy Never Broke Again as well as earlier singles like the JayDaYoungan collaboration "Jungle." He teamed up with Boosie Badazz, Lil Durk, and others in 2019 for the 16-track Step Harder. All in the wake of his debut mixtape Life of Betrayal, which would be followed by a string of other mixtapes such as Life I'm Livin in 2018, Can't Speak on It in 2019, Step Harder in 2020 and Don Dada in 2020. Later on he released his biggest hit in 2021 with a street-driven flip of Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles, Followed by his first album, Life of Betrayal 2x later that year.

2017-2018: Early success and debut mixtape

Bullard started his rapping career in 2017, releasing the song "Go To War" on January 18, 2017 as part of the local hip-hop group Yungeen Gang.[8] On December 25, 2017, Bullard released his debut single, "No Witness". The song gained mainstream attention, with Bullard following up with multiple releases on WorldStarHipHop during the first half of 2018, such as "Find Myself", "All In" and "Fuck That". Bullard released his debut mixtape, Life of Betrayal, during the same year with record label Cinematic Music Group, gaining him further success in the rap industry.[9] It had guest appearances with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and JayDaYoungan. It was later followed by Life I'm Livin in December.[10]

2019-2020: Step Harder and Don Doda

Ace started off 2019 releasing the singles "So Long"[11] and "Message"[12] which currently have 2.9 and 5.4 million streams respectively on SoundCloud as of May 16, 2023. On July 1, 2019, He collaborated with JayDaYoungan to release the mixtape Can't Speak On It which features the single "Opps", which currently has 61 million streams on Spotify.[13] About only a month later, he released his debut EP Chloe. [14] He released his third mixtape, Step Harder in November that year. The mixtape was supported by singles such as "Freestyle"[15] and "Bando"[16] and features guest appearances from Blac Youngsta, Lil Durk, Dej Loaf, Boosie Badazz, Stunna 4 Vegas, and NoCap.[17] It charted at number 81 on the Billboard 200. [18]

In 2020, Ace was featured on the song "Trust Issues" from King Von's mixtape Levon James.[19] Ace also released his fourth mixtape, Don Dada in June.[20] It was supported by the singles "400 Shots", "I'm The One", and "Heartbroken" and has a single guest appearance with King Von.

2021-Present: Debut studio album

In March 2021, Yungeen Ace along with Spinabenz, FastMoney Goon and Whoppa Wit Da Choppa released a single titled "Who I Smoke". The song is a diss track targeted at Jacksonville rapper Foolio that samples "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton. It has gained popularity on social media as well as controversy for it's acts of violence and murder.[21] The song has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in July 2022.[22] He released his debut studio album Life of Betrayal 2x later that year.[23] It has guest appearances with King Von, G Herbo, and YFN Lucci, among others. Yungeen Ace has also collaborated with Nuski2Squad on the mixtape 2 Broken 2 Heal.

In 2022, He collaborated with fellow rapper Kodak Black on the song "B.A.M., which was a single for his second studio album All On Me.[24] It had guest appearances from Kodak Black, Boosie Badazz, Baby 23, Toosii, Spinabenz, and YBeezy.[25] In August, Ace released a single titled "Rekindle 23", which is a tribute to past rapper JayDaYoungan, who died in July.[26] He released his third studio album Survivor of the Trenches, which had guest appearances from SleazyWorld Go, EST Gee, Real Boston Richey, GMK, FastMoney Goon, and Rob49.[27]
